In today’s game of outside shooting, run and gun, with more team play and ball movement, these play perfectly into Larry’s specialties. Bird, considered one of the 27 year of 1996 2023 7 movies Mission Impossible thank you for the memories signatures shirt But I will love this greatest outside and 3 point shooters ever, stated that he never actually practised the 3 point shot as it wasn’t a go to play during the 80s as the focus was scoring points in the paint. He’s won multiple 3 point contests in a row, all while still wearing his warm up jersey, imagine he practised like Curry. Larry put up these numbers during a much more physical era that had more emphasis on defence. Imagine what he could do on a team like the Golden State Warriors or had a point guard like Westbrook or Lillard to penetrate and dish to him all alone while he set up shop beyond the Arc. They gave him the name Larry Legend, a man who understands the game of Basketball like no other on all levels. He still continues to have success as a Coach and Executive. Bird is the only player to win both Coach and Executive of the Year awards.
There is no question he would be a Top Player and adjust to today’s game if he played today. It’s actually scary to imagine how much better he would be now. Second best is a lot up to preference. As far as pure point guards, John Stockton or Chris Paul are both pretty good choices, out of those two I personally would lean towards Stockton but it’s close. However my vote would be for Stephen Curry. Curry is an unselfish teammate, good passer, adequate team defender and excellent leader. He doesn’t play like a pure point guard, but……….stephs offensive ability, in particular his long range bombing, has quite literally changed the 27 year of 1996 2023 7 movies Mission Impossible thank you for the memories signatures shirt But I will love this way NBA offences work. The spacing he provides to his teammates could almost be called an ongoing assist, and because he is in range the second he crosses half court he instantly warps the other team’s total defensive strategy. Sure , he gets a heap of turnovers from doing something unnecessarily fancy, but he could never be called a selfish player. For someone that seems to have a large amount of haters, or people that straight up don’t rate him as a player, in my mind he is a clear number two all-timer. it’s also worth remembering that he has done all of this with a dead mans ligaments in his ankle, after his career was all but over because of ankle injuries. Again this is all personal preference but I’d say 1-magic, 2-steph, 3-Stockton, 4-cp3, 5- isiah. However any order of those 5 you can’t go too wrong ✌🏽
