Diversity is new to many European nations that were built more along ethnic lines, but cross culture movements have been far more common in Asia and Middle East. India has hundreds of languages and religions. To an average European, all Indians are “brown”. But saying all Indians have same “ethnicity” is like saying a white French, white Turk, white Syrian and white Persian are all same. India is an incredibly diverse country.
