Wavetshirt - Prince 48th anniversary 1975 2023 prince rogers nelson thank you for the memories shirt

I’ve had it grabbed, yanked, tugged, and used as a handle when studying martial arts (by some of the Prince 48th anniversary 1975 2023 prince rogers nelson thank you for the memories shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this same people who offered to cut it off for me… they were trying to make a point…) I’ve been called a host of names I won’t repeat in polite company… generally along the lines of an assumption that I wasn’t a “real man” and with a host of suggestive other things tossed in about an assumed sexual orientation and… well, I’ll let you fill in the blanks. I’ve been asked in interviews if I would cut it. I didn’t get any of those jobs, but I won’t say that correlation = causation and that people didn’t hire me because I had long hair. I’ve been told by co-workers that if I wanted to advance I would need to lose the pony tail. I’ve had girls sit with me and play with it… and I’ve been happy to let them french braid it or otherwise do silly things with it.

I’ve been told by numerous women that they’re jealous of how naturally curly it was (I think that had more to do with wearing it in a tight braid daily for years on end than anything else, but hey, I could be wrong.) On the Prince 48th anniversary 1975 2023 prince rogers nelson thank you for the memories shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this whole, the experience was more negative than positive, but, I also had long hair during a period of my life that was among the most challenging I’ve dealt with (being a geek before it was cool, six foot tall and weighing 115 lbs with long hair did not work out well for me in all sorts of ways.) Do people treat me differently since I cut my hair? Yup. The management job offers came after the hair cut, marriage came after the haircut and lots of the mild harassment stopped with the haircut. Do I miss it? Yeah, I do (except when fighting… I don’t miss it getting grabbed, tangled in someone’s fist or being used for leverage at all.)
